The Meena Lite Laser Startup Kit is built for plate makers who need to handle every size that comes through the door. Where thermal printers cap out at standard car plates, this laser-based system prints standard, oversize, 4x4, motorbike and Japanese import plates from the same machine.

It suits anyone starting from scratch as well as established shops moving on from thermal. The hardware, the printer modifications and the software are all included, so you can produce compliant plates from day one.

Optional touchscreen tablet

Meena Lite is the only supplier offering this printer paired with a touchscreen tablet, and it's the easiest way to run the system. There are no drivers to install and no PC setup to work through. It works straight out of the box.

Training is straightforward. Staff with little or no computer experience can be up and running in minutes, which matters in a busy shop where more than one person needs to operate the printer.

The printer: OKI B433

The B433 is the 2026 model. We modify each unit in-house so it reliably feeds thick reflective sheets and transparent film, both of which are materials that standard laser printers struggle with.

• Prints standard 520mm, oversize 762mm, square, 4x4 (11x8), motorbike and Japanese import sizes
• 1200 x 1200 dpi, with solid blacks for DVLA compliance and full greyscale for show plate work
• Separate toner and drum, which keeps cost per page low at volume

The roller jig

The XL adjustable jig fits everything from short motorcycle plates up to oversize. Wide rollers and adjustable pressure give a bubble-free finish without the fiddling you get with fixed jigs.

The software: RegIQ

Your kit includes a 1-year licence to RegIQ Essential. RegIQ is by some distance the most advanced number plate software on the market, and the points below are only the headline features. There is a lot more to it once you start using it day to day.

The rest

The fine spray mister lays down an even slip layer so air doesn't get trapped during lamination. The acrylic boards are impact-modified, and the reflective backings meet BSAU 145e. The fixing kit covers everything needed to mount the finished plates, including heavy-duty pads, screws and colour-matched caps.
